When did mountain biking become a way of life for you?
With my first sponsor Adidas Eyewear back in 2005, the way I look at the sport changed
immediately. From that moment on mountain biking became THE way of life for me. Now, some
years later, the sport still dominates my whole life pretty much.
Who do you respect in mountain biking?
Trailbuilders and the guys behind the scenes who make everything possible.
What has been your favorite moment in mountain biking since you started riding?
There were so many moments! I can’t pick one special out. But there are some particular
moments you always have to think about. A big drop that took you to a further level, a neverending trail or a situation along the way. Too many of these.
Who do you ride with regularly?
I love to ride with Simmons and some other guys from the Shore. It’s always an awesome
experience! I tried to take my girlfriend with me once, it was a disaster, I prefer my local
buddies.
Favourite bike film section and why?
Thomas Vanderham and Sam Hill in Follow Me – awesome riding and some great trails, a
fantastic Mos Def as well as two of the talented mountain bikers in the world.
What do you have planned for next season?
Keep up traveling, visit the Shore again, stay alive and have as much fun as possible.
